Cucumber Banchan With Chee Seng Sesame Oil

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tbsp Chee Seng sesame oil

  • 1 large cucumber

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 4 tbsp vinegar

  • 2 clove minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp red chili flake

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Garnish

  • Roasted Sesame Seeds

STEPS

  1. Add all the ingredients into one bowl and mix well.

    • Brown sugar

    • Red chili flakes

    • Garlic

    • Soy sauce

    • Vinegar

    • Chee Seng sesame oil

  2. Remove heads of cucumber.

  3. Place cucumber in between 2 long chopsticks. Cut cucumber thinly at 45 degree angle.

  4. Rotate 180 degrees and cut in a 45 degree angle again.

  5. Pour sauce over cut cucumber.

  6. Cling wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours.

  7. Garnish with roasted sesame seed and serve.
